Training Process

Our training process is designed to offer a hands-on learning experience, ensuring that our students gain practical expertise in handling emergency medical situations. With a focus on real-life simulations and expert guidance, we prepare our trainees to confidently respond to diverse medical emergencies.

Classroom Experience

The didactic portion of our EMT course provides a strong foundation in emergency medical concepts through engaging lectures, interactive discussions, and case-based learning. You’ll explore topics such as anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient care principles, gaining the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions in the field. Our instructors break down complex material into clear, manageable lessons to help you succeed.

Hands-On Learning

The hands-on portion of our EMT course immerses you in realistic scenarios where you apply your skills in airway management, bleeding control, patient assessments, and more. Using professional-grade equipment and manikins, you’ll work through simulated emergencies that mirror the challenges you’ll face in the field. This practical training builds your confidence and ensures you’re ready to perform under pressure.

National Certification

After completing the course, you’ll be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exams. This process includes a computer-based cognitive exam that tests your knowledge across all EMT subject areas, as well as a psychomotor (skills) exam that evaluates your ability to perform critical hands-on tasks. Passing both exams earns you national certification, recognized in most states, and opens the door to working as an EMT.

State Licensing

Applying for your Massachusetts EMT license begins after earning your National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification. You then register with Massachusetts eLicensing, upload your required documents—including a current hands-on BLS CPR card and a signed, notarized CORI form—and pay the non-refundable $150 application fee. Once your complete application is submitted online, processing typically takes about 3–4 weeks
